I heard a caller on Jim Bohannon’s radio talk show tell him that he weighed $10,000 worth of $100 dollar bills.  They weighed .2165… pounds – about a fifth of a pound.

So how much would $1 billion dollars weigh?

… wait for it – think about it….

OVER 10 TONS!

Yes, over 10 tons of $100 dollar bills = 1 billion dollars.   Staggering to think of, isn’t it?  Jim Bohannon seemed nonplussed, but he usually is when someone in any roundabout way criticizes the current administration.

Anyhoo, while our leaders are bandying about figures in the billions as if they were discussing their 12 year old’s allowance, I will be thinking about truckloads of money being driven off of a cliff never to be seen again.
